I’m intensely passionate about three things: my FAITH and love relationship with Jesus Christ, my FAMILY of three (husband and son), and delicious, nourishing, plant-based, whole-FOODs. The people I know are pretty passionate about their children, even the ones who don’t blog about them or spend hours creating a “my first year” on-line scrapbook. People are in love with their children. People are also passionate about food. Food is universal. Food evokes strong memories, friends and family gather together around food, and food can be intensely personal. People are in love with food. Faith is also intensely personal. Many people I know admit to believing in God and some say they believe in Jesus. People are ok with the idea of God but not everyone is in love with God, let alone intensely passionate about loving Jesus. Each of these, faith, family and food, are dose-dependent: the more we invest into them, the more benefits we receive. Our faith is strengthened when we spend time pursuing the Lover of our souls. Our relationships with our family grow and deepen when we spend quality time together. Our bodies are nourished when we eat whole, unprocessed foods. Our world is very diverse on many different levels and so without too much effort on my part, I can find family, friends and acquaintances who share one or two of my passions but I have not found any whole-foods, plant-based vegans who are excited to share their love for Christ over a plate of savory baked lentils and rice! I’m not always sure exactly where God is leading me but I know He is shaping the desires of my heart as I yield to Him. This is my journey: faith, family and food – real life, well lived. I hope to see you along the way.
real life, well lived
I am passionate about my faith, family and food, and love to write, speak and share about these things.
If the results change when the dose is changed, the results are dose-dependent.
Faith & food are dose-dependent.
The more we pursue Jesus, the more we find Him.
The more we eat a whole-foods, plant-based diet, the more our physical health benefits.
